His sire DIAMANT DE SEMILLY and his damsire KANNAN have been firmly established in the Top 10 of the world’s best stallions for many years.

The DU CHÂTEAU damline is a flagship of the Selle Français breed, with more than 70 CSI 1.50/1.60 m performers descending from the foundation mare JAVOTTE D and her daughters have excelled in competition. BEST OF is genetically the licensed stallion closest to the extraordinary ITOT DU CHÂTEAU, winner of over €3 million in prize moneywith Edwina Tops.

The direct family has produced the French Young Horse Champions HURICANE (5 years old) and JULIANA DE CHAMPLOUE (6 years old), as well as European Young Riders Championship bronze medalists KOLEA DU CHÂTEAU and BINGO DU CHÂTEAU, as well as the stallion J-NIUS V.V.

At auctions, this pedigree is regularly represented with exceptional prices, such as CHICAGO CHICAGO (€270,000, The Ten Sales), JAILYN V/D HOLSTEINERHOEVE (€58,000, Flanders Foal Auction), and OLOVE ME DE ROQUELINE (€58,000, Nash Foal Sale).

BEST OF has been a model student from an early age on. He got licensed at 2yo, placed 5^th of the French Stallion Championship, and then demonstrated terrific regularity in young horses classes:
- 13^th in 4yo National Championship and labelled "Excellent"
- 7^th in 5yo National Championship and again "Excellent"
- 3^rd in 6yo National Championship and labelled "Elite"
- 7yo French Reserve Champion

Winner of Saint-Lo Grand Match in 2019 during the Stallion Show, he was then progressively shown up to 4*GP, successively with V. BESNARD, M. ROCUET and then N. LAYEC. He earned more than 140 000 euros in prize money so far!

In addition to his famous dam line, BEST OF comes with the well sought-after qualities of a typical French stallion: great performance attitude and dynamic with an easy temperament, combined with reactivity, a good bascule and an excellent jumping technique. He is better suited for mares with long lines and rather elegant heads.

BEST OF's progeny are still young and few but seem very promising. Out of 16 offspring in age to compete in 2023, half of them have a sport index way above the normal French average!

- FRENCH LOVER, 6yo French Champion in 2021 & placed at CSI4* Saint-Lô in a 1m45 class in 2023.

- HATLANTIKA, 5yo French Champion in 2022 and 5^th of the 6yo French Championships in 2023 (awarded “Elite” status)

- HERMES DU PLESSIS, labelled "Very Good" during 5yo National Championship, he achieved 12 clears out of 13 rounds before the final, two of them during Saint-Lô regional Championship

- FARINELLI BRUNES, finalist at 6yo French Championship, now placing in CSI 1m40 in Italy.

- ISCLA BONITA, 100% of clear rounds in the 4yo classes, two of them during Le Lion d'Angers Regional Championship, finalist in the 5yo French Championships in 2023.

 - JUST GIGOLO, double clear round in the 4yo Normandy Regional Championship in Auvers.
